International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, no​n-governmental membership organization and the world's largest developer of voluntary International Standards. It is made up of 163 member countries (as of June 2015)  who are the national standards bodies around the world, with a Central Secretariat that is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the world’s leading organization that prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies.
Over 10 000 experts from industry, commerce, government, test and research labs, academia and consumer groups participate in IEC Standardization work.​
